Packaging & Quality Assurance

Every shipment undergoes rigorous quality control to ensure your seafood arrives in perfect condition:

Temperature-Controlled Packaging

All products are packed in FDA-approved, insulated containers with sufficient dry ice or gel packs to maintain proper temperature throughout transit. Our packaging is tested to maintain -18°C for up to 48 hours in standard conditions.

Vacuum Sealing

Individual portions and fillets are vacuum-sealed to prevent freezer burn, maintain freshness, and extend shelf life. This also facilitates easier inventory management and portion control.

Protective Boxing

Products are secured in heavy-duty, moisture-resistant boxes designed to withstand handling during transit. Each box is clearly labeled with handling instructions and temperature requirements.

Temperature Monitoring

Select shipments include temperature data loggers that record conditions throughout transit. This data is available upon request for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Order Processing & Lead Times

1. Order Placement

Orders can be placed by phone, email, or through your dedicated account manager. We recommend ordering at least 7 business days in advance for standard delivery.

2. Order Confirmation

You'll receive immediate order confirmation with estimated delivery date, tracking information, and invoice details.

3. Quality Check & Packing

Our team conducts final quality inspections and packs your order with appropriate cold-chain packaging (typically 1-2 business days).

4. Shipment

Products are picked up by our logistics partners and transit begins. You'll receive tracking information and estimated delivery window.

5. Delivery

Signature required upon delivery. Inspect packages immediately and contact us within 24 hours if there are any issues.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs vary based on order size, delivery location, and shipping speed. Below are general guidelines:

Standard Frozen Shipping

  • Orders under $500: Starting at $75
  • Orders $500-$1,500: Starting at $95
  • Orders $1,500-$3,000: Starting at $125
  • Orders over $3,000: Free standard shipping

Express Frozen Shipping

  • Additional $150-$300 depending on distance and order size
  • Available for orders over $1,000

Volume Discounts: Customers with regular scheduled deliveries may qualify for reduced shipping rates. Contact your account manager for details.

Receiving & Storage Requirements

Upon Receipt

  • Inspect packaging for any visible damage
  • Check temperature with a food thermometer (should be -18°C or below)
  • Verify order contents against packing slip
  • Transfer immediately to freezer storage
  • Report any issues within 24 hours

Storage Guidelines

  • Store at -18°C (0°F) or below
  • Keep products in original vacuum-sealed packaging until use
  • Use FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation
  • Maintain separate storage from raw meat products
  • Follow individual product shelf life guidelines (typically 12-18 months frozen)

Special Handling

Custom Delivery Windows

Need delivery during specific hours? We can arrange morning, afternoon, or specific time window deliveries for an additional fee. Advance notice required.

Multiple Location Delivery

Operating multiple locations? We can coordinate simultaneous deliveries to multiple addresses from a single order, ideal for restaurant groups and chains.

Trade Show & Event Delivery

Participating in a food show or special event? We can arrange delivery to temporary locations with advance coordination.

Returns & Claims

Your satisfaction is our priority. If you encounter any issues with your shipment:

  • Damaged Shipments: Contact us immediately upon delivery if packaging appears damaged or temperature compromised
  • Quality Issues: Report any quality concerns within 24 hours of receipt with photos
  • Incorrect Orders: Notify us within 24 hours if you received incorrect items
  • Temperature Excursions: If products arrive above -10°C, do not accept delivery and contact us immediately

We will work quickly to resolve any issues through replacement, credit, or refund as appropriate. All claims must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery.
